Born in Albuquerque, NM and raised in Gallup until 1990 when he and his family moved to Gilbert, AZ. Scott is the fourth in a family of five children. He learned early to work hard and do his share helping in the family. His parents taught him the importance of setting and achieving goals from an early age. Though neither of his parents have formal degrees they instilled a love of education and reading through their example. His dad worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad and influenced all of his children to get an education and use their mental muscles to provide for their families.
In December 2005 Scott graduated Cum Laude from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He earned this degree while working for Desert Schools Federal Credit Union. He started as a teller and worked up through the ranks until he was a loan officer at one of the largest credit unions in the United States.
Upon graduation he continued his career in financial services. Passing stringent testing he earned his Series 7, 63, 65, and separate Life and Health licenses. During his years as a licensed financial advisor he has worked for: Edward D. Jones and Company, USAA Investment Management Company, MFS (Massachusetts Financial Services the creator of the first mutual fund in the United States), and finally as a business owner and independent financial advisor with Slade Financial.
